Meera Kathiravan’s drama Habeebi will begin streaming on Sony LIV from 25 September. Kasthuri Raja (father of Selvaraghavan and Dhanush) leads; Malavika Manoj co-stars.

Scripted by VS Mohamed Ameen, the film follows a romance within a Muslim household. It opened in theatres on 12 June. Also in the cast: Dhanashree Sudhakaran, Arulkumar and Anusreya Rajan. Sam CS scores; lyrics by Yugabharathi, Karthik Netha and Mashook Rahman. Romeo Pictures, Nesam Entertainment and GKS Bros Production back the film.

Sony LIV has billed it as a story told through a voice, a cassette, and a love that never left.
