Gautham Vasudev Menon has told the Madras High Court that an investor has been finalised to get Vikram’s long-delayed Dhruva Natchathiram released before 31 October 2026, in as many screens as possible.

Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy extended the release deadline to that date after Kondaduvom Entertainment (Menon) sought more time. The court had earlier cleared the path in April and set a June 15 window; Menon has since returned for extensions, citing the need for enough theatres, distributors and exhibitors amid other big releases.

Court-appointed observers also sought clarity on a ₹10.57 crore payment said to have been made to Vikram. The judge found confirmation missing and directed Menon to submit proof of amount and payment mode to the observers, who will then decide. Release remains subject to that process and clearances.
