Sun Pictures has dropped Vidya Balan’s first character glimpse from Jailer 2. She plays Kantha — walking down a staircase in a blue sari, cigarette in hand, pausing to blow smoke as Anirudh’s score kicks in. The short cut teases an intense face-off with Rajinikanth’s Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.

The reveal follows Suraj Venjaramoodu as Dileep and SJ Suryah as Bodhi Kalpak. Nelson Dilipkumar writes and directs the sequel to 2023’s Jailer. Worldwide theatrical: 15 October 2026 (Dussehra weekend).
