Sun Pictures produced Coolie starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead is all set for a grand theaterical release on August 14, 2025, and the production banner is leaving no stone unturned in promoting the film outside its home turf of Tamil Nadu.

In a first for Indian movies, Coolie movie will feature promotions on Amazon delivery boxes in cities like Bengaluru (Karnataka), Hyderabad (Telangana), Pune and Mumbai (Maharashtra), and Dellhi, Noida in North India.

Coolie written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj also releases marking 50 years since Rajinikanth made his acting debut with Apoorva Raagangal on August 15, 1975, and has reigned supreme as a bankable lead star since. 

The Hollywood Reporter India featured Rajinikanth on the cover of its August issue as an ode to both Coolie, and the Superstar's 50 years in the Tamil film industry. Physical copies of the magazine sold out like hot cakes as they hit the stands on July 30, 2025, but they can be online ordered on Amazon India.
