Ahead of Meesaya Murukku 2 (theatres 25 September), Hiphop Tamizha Adhi says the spiritual sequel follows three generations of musicians and speaks about music itself — especially gaana’s fight for mainstream respect. He plays a triple role shot across three looks and schedules.

Adhi argues indie artists face an uneven field as labels buy views, while many “indie” songs still feel like film tracks. His Underground Tribe is prepping #Bars2 with more education for artists. Friends Harshath Khan and Vijay Varadharaj feature; he says he prioritises talent over popularity.

Through the Tamizhanda Movement, he’s also backing Porunai, a 2027 documentary on Thamirabarani excavations (Foca Film Days nominee), turning Tamizhi into a book, and planning Tamil community welfare work next year.
