Sun Pictures has confirmed that Jailer 2 will release on October 15 as planned, putting to rest speculation about a potential postponement triggered by reports of reshoots. The makers shared  a new poster reaffirming the date.

Directed by Nelson, the sequel stars Rajinikanth alongside returning cast members Ramya Krishnan, Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Mirnaa Menon and Yogi Babu, with new additions including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Meghana Raj Sarja and Jatin Sarna. Anirudh Ravichander composes the music in his sixth collaboration with Rajinikanth. Jailer 2 is set for a Navaratri release, a day before Dhanush's Om: Chapter 1 on October 16.
