Director Venky Atluri's Vishwanath and Sons, starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, continues its successful theatrical run. The film recently completed 25 days in theatres, and its makers announced on Monday that it has crossed 260 crore at the global box office. This makes it the second Suriya starrer of 2026 to cross the 250 crore mark worldwide, after Karuppu, which had grossed over 300 crore.

Amid the film's strong theatrical performance, director Venky Atluri revealed on Tuesday that Vishwanath and Sons will premiere on Netflix on September 11. The announcement was made by the streamer and the director together, describing the film's protagonist Sanjay Vishwanath as an athlete, billionaire, philanthropist, and loving father. The film will be available on Netflix in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, as part of the streamer's Southverse collection of South Indian films and shows.
