The makers of the upcoming sports drama Mandaadi have released the trailer for the film. Soori leads the cast, with the film set to open in theatres on September 10.

The trailer reveals the story, which follows the rivalry between two clans of yacht racers competing for glory. Soori's character is shown as a champion of the sport who had left it and his village behind for unknown reasons. On his return, he coaches a new team to take on the one led by troublemaker Sattai Puli, played by Suhas. The narrative appears to centre around the impact of this rivalry on their families and community.

The cast also includes Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindra Vijay, Bala Saravanan, Stun Siva, and others.

GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film, with lyrics by Pa Vijay, Jayashree Mathimaran, and Vaaheesan Rasaiya. The crew includes cinematographer SR Kathir, editor Pradeep E Ragav, production designer DRK Kiran, and action choreographers Peter Hein, Dilip Subbarayan, and Mahesh Mathew.

Elred Kumar is producing the film under his RS Infortainment banner, and has also co-written it along with R Mohanavasanthan and Thiral Sankar.
