Vishwanath & Sons has had a strong opening weekend, crossing Rs 110 crore at the worldwide box office in just three days. The Venky Atluri directorial opened with over Rs 15 crore in India on Day 1, jumped 45 per cent on Saturday, before settling at around Rs 20 crore on Sunday — taking the India gross to Rs 67 crore, with the overseas market adding Rs 10 crore.

The film's global performance is further validated by the Comscore worldwide box office chart, where Vishwanath & Sons debuted at No. 8 with an estimated $12.32 million — which roughly translates to around Rs 116 crore, aligning closely with the film's reported worldwide gross figures and lending credibility to its strong opening weekend numbers.

The back-to-back successes of Karuppu and now Vishwanath & Sons mark a dominant phase for Suriya at the box office. The film has largely earned positive reactions for its wholesome, feel-good story, though some have noted predictability in certain portions.
