Sivakarthikeyan is heading to Madurai to join the second schedule of Seyon, his rural drama with director Sivakumar Murugesan. Stunt duo Anbarivu have come on board to choreograph the film's action sequences, which are reported to include multiple blocks featuring the actor.

The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, Bala Saravanan, Aruldoss and Raj B Shetty in key roles. Santhosh Narayanan composes the music, with the film targeting an October theatrical release. Produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International, Seyon marks Sivakarthikeyan's second collaboration with both the director and the banner after Thaai Kizhavi and Amaran respectively.
