Blue Star is a Tamil language period sports drama set in the 1990s, that released in theaters on January 25, 2024 to decent acclaim (Blue Star Review). The movie starring Ashok Selvan and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in the lead marks the directorial debut of  S. Jayakumar, and follows the conflict between two groups belonging to different castes against the backdrop of cricket.

A sneak peek video of Blue Star containing scenes of this rivalry was unveiled recently, and can be viewed above. Blue Star also has Keerthy Pandian, Lizzie Antony, Bagavathi Perumal among others as a part of the film's cast. 

The movie's technical crew includes has Govind Vasantha for music, Thamizh A Azhagan for cinematography, Selva RK for edits, Jayaragu.L for art direction and S.Jayakumar, Thamizh Prabha for dialogues and screenplay. Blue Star is a production venture of Lemon Leaf Creation and director Pa. Ranjith's Neelam Productions.
