Suriya and Pooja Hegde starrer Retro is a Tamil movie scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on May 1, 2025. Space Box, an Indian film distributor in Japan is presenting Retro in the East Asian country. On Friday, it was officially announced that the Retro advance bookings are now open in Japan. 

Spacebox also revealed the show timings for Retro in Nagoya, and Saitama, while adding that they are additionally trying for Retro screenings in Kyoto.

Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro is a love action story with Suriya playing a gangster named Parivel Kannan, and Pooja Hegde playing his love interest named Rukmini. The movie has Santosh Narayanan for music.
