Anticipation continues to surround Arasan, starring Silambarasan and directed by Vetrimaaran, ever since it was confirmed to be set in the Vada Chennai universe. Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu revealed that the next shooting schedule will begin in March after Silambarasan recently returned to India.

Putting an end to speculation, Thanu clarified that rumours about Vijay Sethupathi exiting the film are baseless. He also addressed past reports about Silambarasan’s punctuality, stating that the actor has been sincere and arrives on set on time, often staying back to watch co-actors perform even when he has no scenes to shoot. Thanu further added that the combination sequences between Silambarasan and Vijay Sethupathi “are going to be a blast in theatres.”

The film also stars Andrea Jeremiah and Samuthirakani reprising their roles from Vada Chennai. Produced under V Creations, Arasan also brings composer Anirudh Ravichander on board, with more updates about the film expected soon.
