Buzz: Director Rajkumar Periasamy Lines Up D55 with Dhanush and Bollywood Debut with Vicky-Katrina!

Director Rajkumar Periasamy is creating major buzz in Kollywood and Bollywood after the success of Amaran. The talented filmmaker is set to direct Dhanush in a much-awaited Tamil film tentatively titled D55 and will later make his Bollywood directorial debut with a film starring Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, scheduled to begin shooting in May 2026.

D55 marks Dhanush’s 55th film, produced by Gopuram Films. The film is said to be an emotional drama about unsung heroes — ordinary people making quiet yet meaningful contributions to society. Inspired by real-life stories, Dhanush will take on a new and challenging role, with shooting expected to start in late 2025. 

And the latest buzz is Rajkumar Periasamy is set for a Bollywood debut with a film bringing Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif together on-screen for the first time. The pre-production will run alongside his Tamil commitments, and principal photography is expected to start by May 2026. The film is reportedly an action thriller backed by Bhushan Kumar.
