Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest blockbuster Coolie continues its winning streak overseas, setting new records in every market it has entered. The film has now created history in Sweden, where Coolie has crossed 4,000+ admissions in the first 8 days of release, making it the highest audience turnout for a Tamil movie in Sweden, as of August 21, 2025.

The Nordic release of Coolie is handled by Snowdrops, while Hamsini Entertainment has managed the film’s overseas distribution in partnership with Sun Pictures. Together, they have ensured Coolie's reach across Europe and beyond.

With a runtime of 170 minutes, Coolie tells the story of Deva (Rajinikanth), who haunted by an unfinished revolt, probes into a friend’s death, exposing a smuggler dynasty, a murder-machine masquerading as invention, and dueling undercover agents. To protect his late friend's daughter Preethi (Shruthi Haasan), Deva must reopen old wounds, and finish a war that began on the docks.
