Coolie starring Rajinikanth in the lead is an action thriller written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in his maiden collaboration with the Superstar actor. The movie is all set to release in theaters worldwide on August 14, 2025 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages. A Sun Pictures production, Coolie is a multi-starrer with names like Shruthi Haasan, Sathyaraj, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Pooja Hegde among other stars in its ensemble. 

Recent buzz also suggests that Tamil star actor Sivakarthikeyan may or may not have done a cameo in to the movie. Coolie director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the past few days has been taking to his official X handle, to thank each of his crew members that worked on Coolie. 

On Monday, the filmmaker shared a BTS still of what looked the final scene of Coolie in action. Spotted in this Coolie BTS still were Superstar Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Shruthi Haasan, and a fourth figure whom Lokesh was holding onto but his face wasn't seen. Coolie trailer revealed towards the end that there is a confrontation scene between Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan in a desert, and this scene showcased the silhouettes of Shruthi Haasan, and Kannada star Updendra behind Rajini. 

The costumes in the Coolie BTS still shared by Lokesh Kanagaraj corresponds to the costumes in the scene mentioned above, leading to the conclusion that the man in the black shirt is actor-director Upendra. Fans in the comment section of Lokesh's post are also holding on theories of the mystery face being Kamal Haasan, who very much like Sivakarthikeyan has been buzzed to be doing a cameo in Coolie. 

So this the climax of movie?

Censored A, Coolie comes with a runtime of 2 hours 49 minutes 57 seconds, and tells the story of a mysterious man (Rajinikanth), who takes a stand against a corrupt syndicate that exploits, and abuses the workers of a port town.
