Thug Life written by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and directed by Mani Ratnam is an upcoming crime drama that stars Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, Trisha among others. Thug Life is scheduled to released in theaters on June 5, 2025, and the movie's runtime has now been revealed as 2 hours 45 minutes 42 seconds. 

Thug Life follows the story of a Mumbai-based crime boss named Rangaraya Shaktivel Naicker (Kamal Haasan), who ends up adopting Silambarasan TR at a very young age for saving his life. STR grows up as Shaktivel Naicker's son Amar. Thug Life's trailer suggests that the battle between Shaktivel Naicker and Amar is what forms the rest of the story. 

Thug Life is a joint production venture of Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies, and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
