Vijay, Genelia starrer rom-com Sachein (2005) had a huge re-release in theater screens across the world, marking its 20th anniversary. Since April 18, 2025, the Sachein re-release has resulted in a significant collection at the Tamil Nadu box-office. In its first 5 days of theatrical run, the Sachein re-release is estimated to have grossed Rs. 6 Cr. (approximately) in Tamil Nadu.

Sachein is a production venture of Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creations who was seen celebrating the film's re-release with a 'collection victory' poster. The movie written and directed by John Mahendran also stars Vadivelu, Santhanam, Bipasha Basu, among others.
