Nonstop cringe humour tends to be irritating, the nasty directorial tone of the flow makes it much worse. With someone like George Maryan in the front, it would have at least worked emotionally fine if only the writing and staging were done right. (more)

Happy Raj Movie Review: Warm enough but weighed down by its own excesses
George Maryan is the film's biggest asset. One could even say that it's his film more so than GVP's. He commits with an earnestness that makes even the weaker material watchable, and the father-son dynamic with GV Prakash carries genuine warmth.(more)

Happy Raj is a confused rom-com with weak writing, bland humour and problematic ideas. Despite a promising premise, it fails to balance comedy and emotion, ending up as a messy and unengaging film.(more)

Abbas adds nostalgia and calm screen presence. Supporting actors Geetha Kailasam, Adhirchi Arun, and Premji Amaran contribute effective comic moments. (more)
